In the first quarter of 2025, the music and podcast app landscape in Costa Rica on the Android platform showcased dynamic trends. According to Sensor Tower, here’s a look at how the top five apps performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $11.1K in early March. The app's downloads saw a significant spike to 7.9K in the same period, while active users remained strong, fluctuating around 550K throughout the quarter.

Radios de Costa Rica Online maintained a modest revenue stream, with a slight peak at $10 in mid-March. Downloads showed a steady decline from 5.8K to about 1.9K by the end of the quarter.

Shazam: Find Music & Concerts showed stable active user numbers, hovering around 110K, despite a gradual decline in downloads from 2.3K to 1.8K in March.

Music Downloader All Mp3 Songs saw its active users grow from 5.1K to 8.8K by the end of March, with downloads peaking at 2.1K in early February before settling around 1.3K.

Finally, SoundCloud: The Music You Love witnessed a consistent revenue increase, reaching $127 in early March. Downloads peaked at 2.3K in March, and active users showed a healthy growth trend, ending the quarter at approximately 22.5K.
